LED & Electronics Repair Technician
We are seeking a skilled LED & Electronics Repair Technician to join our team. This hands-on position combines technical repair expertise with practical event preparation support, ensuring our equipment is maintained to the highest standards and our events run flawlessly.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Repair & Maintenance
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair LED screens, video panels, and display systems
- Perform routine maintenance and testing on all equipment, this will include PAT testing and testing of Fiber optical cables.
- Repair and service lighting equipment, video equipment and power distribution systems
- Maintain detailed repair logs and equipment service records
- Test and quality-check all repaired equipment before returning to inventory
- Identify and source replacement components and parts as needed
- Keep workshop organized and maintain repair tools and testing equipment
Event Preparation & Support
- Assist with loading and unloading equipment for events
- Help prep, clean, and organize gear before and after shows
- Coil cables, organise cases, and ensure equipment is transport-ready
- Support the warehouse team with inventory management and stock organization
- Perform general shop duties including cleaning and maintaining work areas
Required Qualifications
- Experience in electronics repair, ideally with LED displays (3mm and smaller) or AV equipment
- Strong understanding of electrical circuits, digital electronics, and signal flow
- Competent soldering skills and familiarity with testing equipment (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.)
- Physically capable of lifting heavy equipment and working in a warehouse environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with rack building, cable manufacturing and 3D printing.
- Familiarity with video processing equipment and networking protocols
- Valid driver’s license
Working Conditions
- Workshop-based role
- Some evening and weekend work may be required during busy event periods
- Physical demands include lifting and bending
Salary & Benefits
- Pay dependent on experience
- 40 hours per week , 0900 to 1700 Monday to Friday includes paid breaks
- 28 days annual leave
